It's A Girl!!

Hello!!

As many of you might know I am pregnant. I haven't really done any sort of updates on this as, this will be my last pregnancy and I wanted to enjoy it and kind of keep it to myself.

But I am now 21 weeks gone. Over half way!! And man has it flew in. I remember at 9 weeks, waiting on my 12 week scan thinking OMG!! This is taking forever and since it's just gone by sooooo fast!!

I am due the 5th of September 2016 and this will be my second child. As Holly was a section, I have an appointment with the surgeon in May to decided if this one will be a section as well. An to be honest I will be pushing for one as much as possible. I know it's save and over 80% of people can have a normal birth after their first section. But for us there's just to many risks.

Any way. Here is the exciting part.
9 weeks - Still just a kidney bean

14 weeks - Giving a little wave!

21 weeks - Looks like a proper baby now!!

At our last check up, they done a lot of measurements and everything has turned out fine. We also found out the gender and by the tile you will have guessed. Holly will have a sister. So we think. Someone had their legs crossed and knees up so we couldn't get a proper look. So it will still kind of be a surprise.

Thanks for reading.

  2. Huge congratulations! I had a csec with my daughter and will be pushing for another one next time also. I was very poorly when I had Olivia so I do hope it won't be a problem. I'd be very interested to know if you have come up against any barriers/issues when asking for a csec if you don't mind me asking?xx

    1. Not really. Everyone I have spoken to (except my midwife lol) have all assumed I would get another section. Nurses, doctors and even the guy who does my scans all just assumed it would be another section. I even got a letter in when I was 9 weeks basically telling me it would be a section. I think as long as you push hard enough and stand your ground with them you would be fine :)
      Thanks for stopping by

  8. Congratulations! I don't blame you at all for keeping this last one to yourself to enjoy! Love that she might be a surprise boy. My grandmother was certain was going to be a boy, all my baby pics involve bald me in blue, which I find hilarious now, and I'm sure didn't care about then! #KCACOLS

  10. Congratulations!

Hope all goes well! With our first children they did the same, hiding from the sonographer and crossing their legs when we tried to see what they might be!

If you want the wisdom of crowds on your maternity experience the #MatExp community are incredibly supportive. Good luck!

  14. I had an elective section after an emergency one first time - totally different experience and everything about it was great. We knew when we were going in, could organise childcare and the recovery afterwards was loads better than the first time. Can't believe little one wouldn't let you have a proper look so you could find out for certain! Enjoy your last few weeks of pregnancy #marvmondays #kcacols

  19. Aw congratulations! That's wonderful news! I've heard that pregnancies after your first child often go very very fast as you're so busy with them there's not as much time to think about much else! I hope you adjust with a newborn fast! I've also heard that when some babies have their legs up they're most likely girls! Hope you do well in the rest of your pregnancy #KCACOLS
