Holly's Lunch Prep

Well hello lovelies!!

Today I am going to do a post on how I prep Holly's lunches for when she goes to the child minders.

Normally when I make dinners from scratch like pasta boglanase, pesto pasta, chicken curry or soup I like make a lot. That way the extras can be frozen.

I have bought a lot of little lunch boxes for her over the last few months
(Photo of a lunch box)
They are only £1.50 from asda and they freeze well. No issues with closing them yet.

For example I had some peas and sweet corn left over from the night before, which I had put into a tub and refrigerated.
I had made cheesy past that night for dinner and as usual made extra to freezer. So I added the peas and sweet corn to the pasta to freeze.
I also made her favourite meal which is potatoes and gravy. Then added in the rest of the peas and sweet corn.
I find it makes life at night a lot easier. As its already hard enough trying to remember to get stuff organised. I have lists pinned all over the house!!

Let me know how you meal prep for the week??!

Muiravinside Park

Well hello lovelies,

Today I thought I'd do a review in a place in west Lothian Scotland called Muiravinside Park.

This is just outside Linlithgow in westlothian. So it's great for me as we at only about 20mins away.

This is like a country park but slightly smaller. There are lots of walking treks and it's good for if you have dogs!

It's also a farm ran by the council. So we thought for our monthly baby date, my friend and I would take the kids.

There are all your normal animals ie pigs, horses, alpacas, goats, sheep, turkey, rabbits and birds.
Ducks

Turkeys

Hens

Pigs

Goats

Highland cows

Birds

Horses and donkeys

This is a great farm and if the animals are up at the fence, they are safe to pet. Which is great for the kids.

There is benches to eat at with a grassy area for the kids to run about.

The best part about this park is that it is totally free. It is council run and all they ask is that you leave a donation.

Over all I would give this 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 stars as it was just great fun!!

I hope you all enjoyed.

Hollys First Baby Bally Lesson

Well hello lovelies!

It is currently Saturday 18th of April and today is Holly's first Baby Ballet class!!

I am nervous about it lol. She is very strong minded and it can be hard at times to get her to do what you want her to do. I am hoping that as there will be other kids there her age, she will want to participate with them.

I won't go into what she is wearing as I will have a outfit of the day post up soon.

It is £15 for you first trial 3 weeks. Then you can join for £10 and Holly will get a pack of ballet music, certificate and a wand. Then it is £8 a week. Of course this is all on the condition she likes it!! She may hate it! Then you can also buy a uniform for her. However you don't have to. So we will see.

UPDATE!!
She loved it!! It could have went two ways. She would have been real shy and not participate or run a riot. However she was great at copying what to do and putting all the stuff back that she was using. I am such a proud mummy.

The reason I put her into this class, was just to mix with other kids. Nothing to do with me forcing her to do Bally. Once she is old enough, if she wants to stop and play football or antithetical sport, that's exactly what she will do! This is just a bit of fun at the moment.

Good Friday At Mill Farm

Well hello lovelies!

Another post with our adventures over Easter!!

As I was off on Good Friday. My mum and I decided to take Holly to Mill Farm or Almondale Heritage Centre as its also known. Basically it's an old farm that teaches kids what it was like back in the day to farm. The have all the old out houses, a petting area with a pig, mini goats, normal goats and a house. Then they have the bunny petting area. Some farm yard animals ie goats cows and chickens.
It had been wet that morning. That didn't stop us though. Throw on some Wellies and Holly's muck suit and she could go anywhere. This all in one water proof suit was from zulilly for £19.99. It's great as she could slide down the slides or roll about in the mud. It all just wipes down with a cloth.

There is also an open area play ground. This has a trampoline area for kids, a trampoline area for toddlers and mums. A go cart area for big kids and a tractor go cart for toddlers. There is a big climbing frame, a train ride which costs £1 each and a tractor ride around the fields for 50p each. There is an indoor play area as well but unfortunately this is for over 5s only.

There is then a lovely little restaurant. It doesn't do anything special. Some baked potatoes, salads, sandwiches, wraps, cakes, teas, coffees and juice. There are lunch boxes for kids and food for adults. The baked potatoes are lovely and holly loved her wrap.

If you don't want to spend any money in the restaurant. There are plenty of picnic tables to use around the farm.

To get in it is £6.50 for adults, £5.00 for kids 3-15 and under 3s are free!!

It's also situated close to all the shops and restaurants in Livingston. So if you want to go shopping or fancy a bit more to eat there is plenty there!!

I hope you all had an amazing good Friday.

Blair Drummond Safari Park

Well hello lovelies,

As it was the Easter weekend just past. I was off for four days!! Unfortunately as I am writing this post, I am back at work! It went in way to quickly!!

As Mark works in food manufacturing he couldn't get the time off with us. But his normal days off are Sunday Monday, so on Monday when we had Harry as well. We headed to Blair Drummond Safari Park!!

It's in Stirling and about an hour from where we live. It opens at 10am and I suggest being there for that time or like us, you get stuck in 50mins of traffic!!

It is £14.50 per adult. £11.50 per over 3 and under 3s go free!! For your money you get a few meet the keepers. These are at certain times and the keeper will tell you all about the animals. There are also a few shows like the birds of prey, sealion and giraffes. There is a boat ride around chimp island, a petting zoo and shows for the kids, ie tea cups, bouncy castles and a small roller coaster.

Here are some of my photos.
Sealions.
Meerkats
Penguins

Monkeys

Tigers

Rhino
Elephants

There is also a restaurant and gift shops through out. The restaurant is reasonably priced. For 2 adult meals and 2 kids it worked out at £19.91. This includes juice.

There is a variety of animals to get your picture took with.

Then right at the end as you are driving out there is the drive through safari!!
Here you can stop the car to get photos of the animals close up (depending on how cooperative they feel that day!!)

In May there is also a drive through monkey world. This will be avoidable! As the last time the monkeys were in the drive through. They were notorious for jumping on cars and pulling bits off!

Compared to some things. This is a bit pricier!! However I think if you can afford it. It's worth the money. I'm gonna be honest when I tell you that I'm not really that into these types of animal parks. I think animals should be free or in a reserve, and some of the enclosures looked small and not very enriching. However there are a lot of improvements being made. So we will see what happens.

Hope u all had a lovely Easter weekend.
